We’ve said the traditional model for larger deals doesn’t work for small businesses.

We’ve said that small business owners deserve to feel confident in approaching their deal.

But what does that really look like?

Our approach to…

  • The first step in any project is to get a clear picture of who you are, what matters to you and what you want at the end of the process.

    This will differ with every single client that we work with so our action plan will be based upon your specific vision for your future.

    We also break the process down into manageable sections, only moving on to the next when you are happy with the progress.

  • Differing from the 'no sale, no fee' model, we structure our fees based on the completion of specific stages.

    Billing occurs only when a stage is finished, and we proceed to the next phase when you're ready.

    This approach ensures that you receive the best possible advice at all times. We don’t chase fees and you will always have something of value after each completed section.

  • When we have understood your vision, we will suggest various options to move forward.

    It’s our job to be wholly honest with you and communicate what you need to know, without sugar coating. This means we might sometimes tell you things you don’t want to hear, but know it’s always with your best interests at heart.

    Communication works two ways, and we make sure that you can vent to us as much as you need to (our fixed fee structure means you’re not being charged per phone call).

  • The recommendations, along with all your other options, will be explained fully, in detail, and in a language that you’ll understand, free from buzzwords or jargon.

    Of course, we will provide you with all the support and advice you need to make a decision but we don’t ever pressure you to choose a certain outcome.

    Instead, we want to make you feel confident in making your own choice, with all the information and knowledge to hand.

    We know this landscape inside out, but we also know that you’ve not been here before. No question that you ask is stupid and no emotion you’re feeling is wrong. Working with us comes with a guarantee that you have support in the right place to navigate this important stage of business. Our aim is to make you feel as comfortable as you can be while facing the new and the unknown.

  • Unlike traditional brokers, your fees with us aren’t dependent on the price you sell your business for. These brokers often use an inflated selling price as a hook but a super high selling price may not be a realistic target.

    So, while getting the best price for your business is high on our priority list, our recommendation will factor everything important in to ensure you’re on the path for a successful sale.

  • Whilst we can take you through the whole process, we know that things can always change, which is why you’re not committed to completing your journey with us.

    If you do choose to leave at any point, we won’t tie you into any future fee commitments*.

    *Our advice is always to read the small print when signing contracts because the devil can be in these details. This type of clause is quite common with certain brokers, is something to be very cautious of, and can cost you hugely. You’ll never find this type of clause in our contracts.
